Overview
To lead and optimize BYD Argentina’s operations
Responsibilities- Define and execute the local product portfolio strategy in alignment with OEM global and regional guidelines.
- Act as the primary interface between Argentina’s market and OEM headquarters, ensuring accurate communication of local customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
- Manage the full product lifecycle (planning, homologation, launch, pricing, updates, and phase-out) in compliance with OEM standards.
- Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to support strategic positioning and volume planning.
- Develop and implement product launch plans, coordinating with Sales, Marketing, Aftersales, Training, and Dealer Network teams.
- Monitor product KPIs (sales volumes, margins, customer satisfaction, residual values) and recommend corrective actions to HQ/regional teams.
- Support dealer network with product knowledge, training materials, and commercial tools to ensure consistent brand positioning.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations (safety, emissions, homologation) while maintaining OEM brand identity.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in product management or marketing experience within the automotive OEM environment.
- Proven track record in product lifecycle management and vehicle launch projects.
- Strong understanding of the Argentine automotive market, legislation, and consumer trends.
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder management abilities, including HQ/regional reporting.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Desirable: Experience in electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid, or connected car technologies.
- Desirable: Knowledge of OEM financial planning processes (business cases, volume forecasts, margin optimization).
- Desirable: Familiarity with dealer network operations and customer experience strategies.
