IT Project Management Specialist

Position Summary IT Project Management Specialist – Wabtec Corporation Hybrid format. Location: Contagem, MG, or São Paulo, SP. Responsibilities Oversee projects that enhance solutions and deliver value to customers, playing an integral part in strategic growth. Coordinate project execution across functions, resolve challenges, and drive successful completion through collaboration with business, technical, and partner teams. Plan, track, and manage project schedules, requirements, stakeholder expectations and key milestones. Support execution teams with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Monitor and support technical and functional teams to ensure task completion. Provide regular updates on project and portfolio status, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on scope, schedule, risks, and budget. Follow IT governance and processes, standards and tools accordingly. Collaborate to the culture of continuous improvement and incorporate latest industry trends and promote project management maturity. Define and implement product roadmap, business continuity management, and manage solution provider contracts (if applicable). Qualify business demands by evaluating strategic relevance and return on investment, securing necessary approvals and initiating projects. Typical Day Manage day-to-day execution of assigned projects. Organize and plan allocation of project teams comprising internal and external experts based on budget, scope, and timeline. Track requirements, manage stakeholder expectations and key milestones, monitor testing progress and project health. Support the execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Help technical and functional teams ensure their tasks are completed as required. Provide regular status updates and maintain accurate project documentation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in STEM, Business Administration, or related field with post-graduation/specialization in project management or technology. Proven experience in project and program management with agile or traditional methodologies. Experience in software development and architecture, driving technical decision-making. Proficiency in requirement specification techniques. Fundamental knowledge in information security, databases (including PL/SQL), IT infrastructure, cloud computing (AWS), and APIs. Experience with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and low-code platforms. ITIL fundamentals and PMP/PMI-ACP or Agile certifications are a plus. Strong ability to qualify project demands, define and execute roadmaps, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills. Clear and effective communication, adaptable to multiple audiences. Collaborative, self‑motivated, disciplined, and proactive mindset. Capacity to thrive in high‑pressure environments and coordinate diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of Procurement to Pay and/or Supply Chain related processes is a plus. Advanced English proficiency.
