Senior Distributed Data Platform Architect

Job Description We are seeking an expert in distributed data platforms to lead the design, integration, and evolution of our NexusOne data platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise governance and security frameworks, as well as exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting the platform, defining integration points, and designing scalable solutions based on incoming enterprise requirements. They will also participate in architecture review boards and ensure that all implementations align with our composable, open-source design principles. Key Responsibilities: Design and evolve the end-to-end NexusOne platform across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments. Translate solution requests and business requirements into scalable architecture blueprints. Lead and participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) to align deployments with enterprise standards. Define and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and integration frameworks. Guide engineers and client teams in implementing best practices for security, observability, and reliability. Oversee the selection, integration, and tuning of open-source components. Partner with product and engineering leadership to evolve the NexusOne architecture and roadmap. Required Skills and Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications: Core Expertise: Spark, Trino, Airflow, NiFi, YuniKorn, Superset, Iceberg, Ranger, DataHub, S3. Infrastructure & Automation: Terraform, Kubernetes (K8s), OpenShift (OCP), Docker, Linux. Security & Governance: IAM, SSO, KMS, Kerberos, Encryption, RBAC.
