What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Lead and manage all aspects of highly complex engineering projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with budget and schedule
  • Supervise and mentor engineering staff, overseeing project resource allocation and staff productivity
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on the condition and capacity of port facilities and structures
  • Direct the work of consultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables and compliance with project scope
  • Coordinate construction activities to minimize disruption to port and tenant operations, monitoring progress and managing payment processes
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field; master\u2019s degree preferred
  • Washington Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect certification is required; Structural Engineering license preferred
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in project management, engineering design, estimating, and construction management
  • Proven skills in leadership, project management, and multi-discipline team coordination
  • Experience in the Port and/or Maritime industry is preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience managing project management and engineering professionals
  • Familiarity with the design and project management of marine facilities, including cargo terminals and docks
  • Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to port projects
  • Strong negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive leaders and stakeholders
