Linux System Administrator Job Opportunity

This is a dynamic role for an experienced Linux and Unix systems professional. You will lead production and project support across Linux environments, managing installations, patching, migrations, and scripting.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level support for Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and AIX systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize system performance and availability.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members in Linux administration.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of monitoring systems.

We are seeking a skilled professional with hands-on experience in Linux and Unix systems. You should have deep expertise in filesystem, volume, and storage management, as well as strong knowledge of networking and clustering.

  • Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with SAN/NAS, backup tools (TSM, VEEAM), and storage suites (EMC, NetApp, Hitachi).
  • Flexibility to work weekends and non-standard hours.
  • Advanced English language proficiency.

Bonus Points: Linux certification, German language skills, and experience with Veritas Cluster, Apache, DNS, DHCP, LDAP are highly valued.
