Responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure the company's compliance with new tax requirements.
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax provisions in accordance with GAAP and tax accounting standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance, legal, and accounting, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.
- Manage and supervise a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Represent the company during tax audits and communicate with tax authorities, as necessary.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the tax department.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in law. A master’s degree in Finance, Accounting certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Tax Manager or a similar tax leadership role, with at least (X) years of experience in tax planning and compliance.
- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as experience with tax software and accounting systems.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax software.
