About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Finance team at Kraton Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing corporation income tax calculations, as well as ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and review corporation income tax calculations prepared internally or by external providers.
  • Manage other tax filings, including PIS/COFINS, ICMS, IPI, IOF, and EFD, ensuring all tax filings are made timely and in accordance with local tax requirements.
  • Review and supervise the preparation of tax return payments and estimated tax payments for direct and indirect taxes.
  • Prepare IFRS and local GAAP tax provisions, as well as review and calculate uncertain tax positions under IFRIC 23.
  • Prepare account reconciliations of tax accounts and manage, review, or prepare responses to eCAC notices, tax assessments, notices, and audits.
  • Monitor legislation changes and assess their impact on the company, providing guidance on compliance with new tax requirements.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding various tax-related matters and review and assist with the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
  • Assist with tax technical research and analysis, maintain a tax calendar, and deliver honest, constructive feedback to team members.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in a large corporate tax environment, preferably with Big 4 firm experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management and improvement projects.
  • Ability to lead a group of professional employees and deliver honest, constructive feedback to staff.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to perform technical research and willing to teach staff how to perform technical research.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and multi-tasking.
  • Highly self-motivated, takes initiative, identifies and addresses issues, and works efficiently with attention to detail.
Education, Certifications & Licenses
  • Masters in Taxation or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA or CRC is preferred.
