We trust each other and bring these values into everything that we do.**Job Description**:YouGov is searching for Senior Python Developer to join its the development team for its flagship product, BrandIndex. We're looking for self-motivated developers with great problem solving skills and an ability to find their way around a complex codebase.BrandIndex provides customers with insights into how people around the world feel about brands through data visualizations, customizable dashboards, and more. As part of the back-end team you'll collaborate on the middleware and data backend of BrandIndexAs part of the fully-remote BrandIndex development team your responsibilities will include:- Collaborating with other developers and product owners- Developing new features to support BrandIndex's UI and API- Maintaining and improving BrandIndex's in-house, column-oriented distributed database- Maintaining and improving BrandIndex's data pipeline**Qualifications**:**Required skills**- 7+ years professional experience with Python- Experience with Numpy and Pandas- Experience writing SQL- Experience writing RESTful APIs- Solid object-oriented programming fundementals- A commitment to automated testing- Knowledge of design patterns- How to use Git- Experience working with Unix-like systems**Bonus points for**- Experience using type hinting in Python- A preference for test-driven development- Experience with NoSQL- Knowledge of OAuth- Knowledge of Kubernetes- Experience with ZeroMQAdditional InformationThis role can be based 100% remotely.
