This role requires customer relationship management and advocacy for Canonical's technical assets. It offers an opportunity for technologists passionate about Linux and Project Management to build a career with Canonical. Ideal candidates have a software affinity, strong communication skills, and a passion for technology, and will work with some of the best industry professionals.Public Cloud Project Managers lead accounts and provide insight for Canonical's key Tier 1 Enterprise Public Cloud clients. They collaborate across teams from Software Engineering to Senior Executives.As a Public Cloud Project Manager, you will oversee multiple major projects simultaneously. You will shape Statements of Work (SoW) with clients, manage project lifecycles, and ensure goals for both Canonical and clients are achieved.International travel may be required, varying in amount and duration based on project needs.Location: This role is remote within the Americas region.The role entails: Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and resources Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues Maintaining strong customer focus and working with stakeholders for successful outcomes Conducting regular status meetings and reviews with clients Managing delivery schedules of third-party contributions Handling cross-organizational engineering requests outside existing contracts Promoting Canonical technologies to clients What we are looking for: Proven experience in the IT Cloud industry as a project manager, Scrum Master, or similar role Deep knowledge of Linux, open source, and public cloud environments Software engineering background Excellent English communication skills Experience managing remote, cross-cultural teams and clients Strong negotiation and influencing abilities Bachelor's degree in a STEM field Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) Agile Certification (Scrum Master or equivalent) Willingness to travel domestically and internationally What we offer colleagues: Distributed work environment with biannual in-person team sprints USD 2,000 annual learning and development budget Annual pay reviews and performance bonuses Additional benefits reflecting our values and local needs Recognition rewards, holiday leave, parental leave Wellness programs and travel opportunities About Canonical: Canonical is a pioneering open source tech company, publisher of Ubuntu, and a leader in AI, IoT, and cloud platforms.
