Position Summary

Operate conventional lathes, milling machines, bench and radial drills, cylindrical grinders, and electrical discharge machining. Move parts manually and with pallet trucks and overhead cranes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Machine metal and plastic parts as specified in drawings and production orders for each machining type (e.g., turning, milling, drilling).
  • Weld plastic parts using rotation and hot air blasting.
  • Perform self-inspections on produced parts.
  • Identify produced parts with an industrial marker, electric pencil, or seal.
  • Read, interpret, and use drawings, approved procedures, and calibrated instruments in all activities.
  • Move equipment and parts with an overhead crane, pallet jack, and mechanical arm, according to the competency matrix.
  • Read, interpret, and perform activities according to the area's production plan; properly mark completion, identify risks and opportunities for improvement, and record them on the Gemba walk monitoring board.
  • Keep the work area tidy, orderly, standardized, and clean, ensuring sustainability of these requirements.
  • Perform all activities without supervision.
  • Ensure proper storage of measuring instruments and segregate those with expired calibration for appropriate action.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment using ITT's 6S principle.
  • Participate in and respond to internal and external audits for the area of operation based on procedures and technical specifications of the management system.
Position Requirements

High school, machining technician or related courses. Experience with operating conventional lathes, milling machines, bench and radial drills, cylindrical grinders, and electrical discharge machining. Ability to move parts manually and with pallet trucks and overhead cranes.
