That means delivering better outcomes for our clients, helping our people to realize their potential, and doing our part to create a prosperous society._- Every day we help our major global clients deliver ambitious and highly technical projects, in over 110 offices worldwide._Turner & Townsend has an exciting opportunity for a Cost Manager to join our Rio de Janeiro Cities & Places team to help guide our clients and their professional teams on a number of exciting and iconic projects across the Market.You’ll have a real desire and commitment to understand how the builders of the past put together their buildings, and what that means to modern contractors. You’ll be working on a day-to-day basis with leading conservators, architects and engineers to ensure that the client and contractor deliver the best value for money - advising all parties on the best solutions from a qualitative and commercial perspective.We’re looking for individuals possessing a keen interest in this space with a good knowledge of construction, whether from a Main Contracting or PQS background; who possess an outgoing / collaborative approach.**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:Commission Management, to include:- Prepare estimations according to all design phases.-- Monitor, control and prepare Valuations-- Participate to value engineering sessions-- Prepare and analyse change orders-- Develop the primary project budget-- Develop progress measurement criteria with vendors-- Collect cost market data-- Support quotation process responding to the questions of services/materials proponents-- Produce cash flow forecasts for internal and client purposes-- Quantify materials and labour for all phases of a project.-- Prepare Cost benefit analysis-- Review project budget after design packages issuance by the technical team-- Collaborate with the creation of the recommendation report-- Participate in the weekly project and departmental meetings-- Issue weekly progress reports on project costs including forecasting reimbursable expenses**Qualifications**:**Experience and Skills**- Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveyor, Engineering, Architecture.-- Minimum 10 years of experience in similar roles.-- Working towards RICS membership or recently chartered-- Conversant in all aspects of quantity surveying-- Experience in utilizing software systems e.g., Cost X, CATO, BIM (Building Information Modelling) Measure-- Experience in utilizing Excel advanced level-- Experience in utilizing AutoCAD.-- Fluent in English-- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying-- Experience working on larger projects of £10m value or over (or equivalent)-- Experience working on new build and fit-out projects-- Excellent communication skills and client facing**Additional Information**:- Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
