Senior Engagement Manager , AWS Professional Services Join to apply for the Senior Engagement Manager , AWS Professional Services role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for our clients. You will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. Applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework, you will distill customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and make informed trade‑off decisions considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects. Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning. Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate engineering discussions, and ensure alignment with customer business outcomes. Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes. Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions. Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards. Validate technical solutions against business goals, recognize when additional technical evaluation is needed, and manage technical risks. Maintain relevant AWS certifications, develop domain‑specific expertise, and communicate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences. Progress to lead increasingly complex projects, shape cross‑organizational technical strategies, and establish best practices. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in cloud computing. 5+ years of experience in project management of technical programs. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. Industry business knowledge. Effective communication in English in technical and business settings. Preferred Qualifications AWS experience preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate. Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices. Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well‑Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework.
