Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned Senior System Engineer III to play a critical role in the daily operations, maintenance, and optimization of our observability platforms—Splunk, DynaTrace, and NewRelic. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a passion for automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This position involves owning the daily health, performance, and availability of enterprise monitoring tools (Splunk, DynaTrace, NewRelic), performing routine maintenance, upgrades, and configuration tuning to ensure optimal system performance. Key responsibilities include triaging and resolving monitoring-related incidents and service tickets in a timely and efficient manner, collaborating with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to integrate monitoring solutions and improve visibility, developing and maintaining dashboards, alerts, and reports to support operational and business needs, participating in on-call rotations and supporting incident response efforts, and documenting operational procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base articles. Required Skills and Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or enterprise monitoring roles is required. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Splunk, DynaTrace, and NewRelic in production environments. Strong understanding of IT operations, incident management, and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) is essential. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and tool integration is also required. Candidates should have familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker). Excellent troubleshooting skills and a bias for action in high-pressure situations are necessary. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required; Portuguese is a plus. Preferred qualifications include experience working in a global or distributed team, knowledge of ITIL practices and observability maturity models, and certifications in Splunk, DynaTrace, or NewRelic.
