Your Role Strategic Market Development Identify and evaluate business opportunities for government identification solutions (e.g., e‑IDs, e‑passports, secure authentication technologies) and electronic ticketing solutions for public transportation across North and South America. Develop and execute regional business strategies considering market dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and technological trends. Build strong relationships with government entities, public transportation authorities, integrators, and industry partners to position the company as a trusted supplier for both government ID projects and smart ticketing systems. Explore synergies between government identification and electronic ticketing systems to offer integrated, secure, and scalable solutions to public entities. Sales Support and Customer Engagement Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide technical and business guidance for government identification and transit ticketing solutions, supporting proposal development, tenders, and negotiations. Actively participate in customer meetings, offering tailored solutions that align with the technical and operational requirements of government ID and public transportation projects. Drive the closure of new deals by leveraging deep knowledge of regional market needs and building trusted relationships with public transportation stakeholders and government decision‑makers. Deliver cross‑functional support where both secure identification and transportation ticketing solutions can be bundled or customized, creating higher‑value offerings. Collaboration with Marketing and Product Teams Work alongside the marketing team to shape dual‑focus go‑to‑market strategies for government identification and electronic ticketing technologies, including tailored campaigns for public sector audiences. Provide insights to the product management team on market demands, regional trends, and technical requirements for contactless ticketing, NFC‑enabled transit cards, digital wallets, and secure identification systems. Represent the company at major events, including government forums, public transport exhibitions, and trade shows, solidifying a leadership position in both government ID and mobility ticketing technologies. Partner with marketing to develop thought leadership materials focused on digital transformation in public transit and secure identification innovation. Project and Partner Management Support large‑scale projects involving secure identification and fare collection systems by coordinating diverse stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regional regulations, and collaborating with ecosystem partners such as fare system integrators, transit software developers, and government IT providers. Serve as the primary liaison between external partners (e.g., government agencies, transit agencies) and internal cross‑functional teams (sales, marketing, R&D) to ensure seamless project execution. Oversee implementation of electronic ticketing solutions, including integration of smart cards, mobile ticketing apps, and secure backend systems, ensuring operational reliability for public transit systems. Market Intelligence and Reporting Monitor, analyze, and generate insights into competitor activities, market trends, government technology initiatives, and public transportation modernization projects in the Americas. Develop actionable recommendations to guide product roadmaps and strategies for both government ID solutions and transit ticketing technologies. Provide internal reports on market conditions, customer needs, and sales performance. Track ongoing projects using CRM tools, maintaining strong relationship management across both the government ID and public transport ecosystems. Your Profile Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Master’s Degree (MBA or technical specialization) preferred. 5+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development, ideally in the semiconductor industry, secure identification, or government‑related projects. Demonstrated experience in working with public institutions for government identification solutions, including e‑IDs, biometric authentication, e‑passports, or other secure embedded solutions. Complementary experience in supporting or collaborating on electronic ticketing projects, such as NFC/contactless cards, mobile ticketing solutions, smart transportation systems, or automated fare collection technologies, is a strong plus. Thorough understanding of B2G sales cycles and public tender processes in North and South America. Experience working in an international and multicultural environment. Technical Skills Knowledge of secure embedded systems, semiconductor products, and related cryptographic security technologies used in government ID programs. Familiarity with biometric technologies, NFC/RFID chipsets, and secure authentication standards (e.g., PKI or ISO standards for ID cards and passports). Ability to discuss and comprehend technical specifications for government identification products with both technical and non‑technical audiences. Supplementary Skills (Electronic Ticketing) Awareness of smart card technologies, contactless systems, mobile payment solutions, and backend transit systems related to electronic ticketing in public transportation. Familiarity with fare collection technologies and integration of chipsets and secure hardware in public transit systems. Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and analytics platforms for tracking sales opportunities and performance. Hands‑on experience in managing partnerships with system integrators, VARs, and public‑sector solution providers. Language Requirements Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English (both written and verbal). Ability to negotiate, present, and engage in business at executive levels in all three languages. Understanding of culturally nuanced business practices, government protocols, and transit authority relationships in the American market. Soft Skills Strategic Thinking – analyze market and technology trends in government identification and public transit ticketing systems to inform business development strategies. Strong Communication and Negotiation – build trust with diverse stakeholders, negotiate contracts, and navigate both government procurement processes and public‑private partnership opportunities. Relationship Management – engage with government agencies, transit authorities, corporate partners, and other stakeholders in the secure ID and public transit ecosystems. Problem‑Solving Abilities – address challenges surrounding technical implementation, regulatory compliance, and integration within transportation ticketing. Team Collaboration – work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and technical teams in cross‑functional, multicultural settings (on‑site or remotely). Cultural Adaptability – sensitive to linguistic, social, and professional norms across North and South America. Proactive Personality – self‑starter who thrives in dynamic, complex environments, driving projects independently while managing parallel priorities. Additional Requirements/Expectations Ability to travel across North and South America extensively (30‑50%). Comfortable being the face of the company at industry associations, trade shows, conferences, public sector summits, and transportation technology forums. Strong familiarity with government regulations and public procurement policies relevant to secure ID projects and transit technology projects in North and South America. Commitment to staying updated on cybersecurity, secure identification, and mobility technology innovations to bring emerging trends into strategic discussions. Bonus: Familiarity with smart city initiatives and how government identification solutions and electronic ticketing technologies intersect (e.g., multi‑use ID cards for public services).
