Keep reading**The Role**:Reporting to our Chief Product & Technology Officer, we’re looking for a Director of Engineering who will play a pivotal role in the future of our company. Responsible for the technology vision, design and development of our Rivalry’s (growing) suite of betting and gaming products, you’ll lead a team of engineers and developers and partner with Rivalry’s Director of Product, product managers and designers. In addition, you will collaborate with marketing, compliance, payments and customer support teams to deliver Rivalry’s product experience.**What your days will look like**:- Lead, manage and mentor a team of engineers, developers and related staff- Technology planning and development in collaboration with product- Leading technology research and development to build and scale products globally- Ensuring engineers and developers are delivering and meeting high quality and standards- Coordinating the work of engineers with other departments within the organization- Lead, define, represent and communicate technology strategy to all stakeholders- Assess technology development sprints and enhancement opportunities.- Develop budgets, forecasts, and metrics.- Monitor technology development sprints and evaluate results.- Own the technology roadmap and communicate with C-level staff, board members, and other stakeholders.- Attract great talent, recruit and hire- Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.- Build incredible teams and processes to deliver products that satisfy the needs of customers.**What you will bring to the team**:- 8-10+ years of experience as an engineering / technology leader- Experience with the following tech stack; LAMP, Laravel, NodeJS, VueJS, Extensive websockets and queues.- Strong organizational / leadership skills- People leader with demonstrated success in recruiting, leading and mentoring tech teams- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to translate into the technology development process- Able to formulate and implement global strategies for technology- Strategic & creative thinker with the ability to connect technology and product development- Demonstrated knowledge of operational and regulatory issues with (portfolio management, risk management, security management, etc.)- Successfully implemented data-driven processes to turn a vision into an actionable roadmap- Strong project management skills and attention to detail- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills- Experience in the esports, sports, music, or other similar business is a positive**Why work at Rivalry?**:- We offer a competitive salary and total rewards package including a comprehensive benefits package and stock options (we believe it's important for our people to own a piece of the company and share in our success).- A chance to work in one of the most exciting and rapidly growing industries- Work with an extremely talented team who share a love for video games and esports on truly innovative projects; we’re not your typical online gambling site - we’re a tech company first, and a gambling company second- Work where you get your best work done.
