Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support the development of personalized search capabilities and data assimilation initiatives within the organization. This is a remote role aligned to the EST time zone . The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Python, databricks, and Kafka , and will contribute directly to ongoing data modernization efforts. While the work is not tied to life-critical systems, it is essential for advancing our long-term data strategy. Key Responsibilities: • Support FY26 initiatives focused on data-driven and personalized search experiences. • Enhance current search and relevance models, which are presently generic and not tailored to individual users. • Perform data assimilation related to athlete journey insights and integrate this information into downstream applications. • Build and optimize data pipelines in collaboration with the broader Data Engineering team. • Compile, transform, and prepare data for use across multiple business and technical functions. Required Technical Skills: • Strong hands-on experience with: o Python o Databricks (minimum 2-3 years required) o Kafka • Solid understanding of data engineering best practices and pipeline development. Experience Requirements: • 5+ years of overall experience in data engineering or related fields. • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in cross-functional technical team.
