What to Expect

Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct qualitative and mixed-methods analyses, including developing suitable study designs for various research questions
  • Evaluate the implementation, impact, and sustainability of innovative educational programs and tools
  • Build and integrate evidence from multiple sources to inform system improvement and identify new research needs
  • Lead and facilitate partnerships with diverse stakeholders to formulate research questions and plans
  • Present research findings through various knowledge products and represent the employer at professional conferences
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in education or a closely related social science field with a focus in education
  • Demonstrated experience in education-related research and functioning as a knowledge broker across diverse roles
  • Strategic leadership and management experience in research-practice partnerships or networks within K-12 or postsecondary settings
  • Proficiency in traditional educational research methods and mixed-methods research skills
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience conducting formative and summative evaluations for external stakeholders
  • Thorough knowledge of education research, policy, or learning sciences, particularly from an equity perspective
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple constituencies including education administrators, researchers, and policymakers
