About the Role We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Murex Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with clients and provide expert guidance on best practices for P&L processes, position management, accounting, hedge accounting, and financial reporting. You will contribute to client-site MX.3 implementations, participating in workshops, preparing documentation, configuring client requirements, and performing quality assurance tests. As a Murex Specialist, you will provide exceptional client support, including managing open issues and supporting upgrade activities. Communicate development needs to the Murex product development team. Develop and deliver internal and external training programs. Responsibilities Junior: Advise on Murex best practices in P&L processes, position management, accounting, hedge accounting, and financial reporting. Participate in client-site MX.3 implementations during the requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases. Provide client support, including managing open issues and supporting upgrade activities. Communicate development needs to the Murex product development team. Develop and deliver internal and external training programs. Senior: Lead all trading designers during an implementation or upgrade, gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases. Manage open issues and support upgrade activities. Handle the relationship with the product team in one area of expertise and assist in building the product roadmap for the region. Provide internal and external documentation and training. Qualifications Junior: The ideal candidate has 2-3 years' experience in capital markets technology. Strong academic background in accounting, engineering, or a math-based discipline. Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system, SQL, and basic programming is a plus. Senior: The ideal candidate has more than 5 years of experience in capital markets technology. Proven client-facing experience in a support or project implementation role, preferably in trading or risk management solutions in financial institutions. Systematic problem solver with critical thinking abilities. Required Skills Good product knowledge/understanding in IRD, CRD, COM, EQD, FXD, FXMM. Good understanding of accounting principles, accounting rules, ledger, and account balances. Good working knowledge of Murex Accounting knowledge. Strong understanding of Back Office functions as well as processing. Strong functional and technical understanding on the settlement instructions. Good knowledge of the different post-trade interactions between the various actors of capital markets including service providers. Good understanding of OSP (open settlement protocol). Preferred Skills BS or higher degree in Finance, Mathematics or equivalent. Implementations and upgrades. Test management. Trade life cycle management. Market Data management. Knowledge in SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase) and Unix commands is a plus. Good understanding of Market Risk Management (including VaR, stress-tests, back-testing).
