Formulation and packaging are strategic areas of FMC's global operations. The Improvement Engineer will serve as the primary technical support for the Uberaba site, driving new product introductions, capital project execution, continuous improvement, manufacturing support and sustainability efforts, while promoting FMC's strong safety culture. This role collaborates with local and global stakeholders across technology, operations, R&D, quality, supply chain, and engineering to enhance safe, sustainable, and efficient processes.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Sustainability:

  • Act as a role model and champion for EHS excellence.
  • Support Process Safety Management (PSM), PHAs, and site safety reviews.
  • Contribute to the site's sustainability initiatives.
New Product Introductions & Site Transfers
  • Assess site capabilities for new or transferred products.
  • Design safe and efficient manufacturing processes with stakeholders.
  • Provide on-site support during trials, optimization, and validation.
Capital Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead projects from planning through execution, commissioning, and closure.
  • Identify and lead capital and cost-saving projects.
  • Use performance data to identify opportunities and create improvement plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical or related operations.
  • Advanced skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with formulation and packaging processes, Process Hazard Analysis, capital project management, process design and scale-up, troubleshooting, and change management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with a results-oriented approach.
