Associate Propulsion Structural Design Engineer

Boeing Brazil is seeking an Associate Propulsion Structural Design Engineer , reporting to the Propulsion Structures Engineering Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office. The Associate Propulsion Structural Design Engineer will understand and execute modifications and upgrades on the primary and secondary structure of the existing and new programs.
Position Responsibilities- Assists to develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
- Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Note: This position is expected to be 100% onsite at the listed location. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)- Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
- Must have a degree in Engineering.
- Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
- Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English language.
- Relevant experience validating or verifying structural models
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment
- Experience with structural design principles for aircraft
- Experience with analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
