Job Description As Application Development Manager Bake (South America), you will contribute to sustainable scientific application development with focus on the baking industry, provide high‑level technical support during new product developments, and support the technical validation of prioritised regional sales activities. Provide high‑level technical results through execution of well‑designed laboratory baking trials. Manage the South American Baking Lab in Curitiba, Brazil. Strengthen internal application know‑how and product portfolio development. Provide creative and effective technical support to key customers and high‑potential projects. Work closely with Sales, Marketing and R&D to deliver technical input for relevant industrial applications and growth. Qualifications and Experience In‑depth knowledge and experience from the South America baking market, baking ingredients, or flour milling industry. Experience in enzymes is a clear asset. A degree in Food Science or Food Technology. Alternatively, a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology with a solid background in the baking industry. Technical knowledge about South American baking procedures, formulas and ingredients (preferred). 5+ years of work experience in the baking, baking ingredient or flour milling industry (preferred). Excellent communication skills to engage with customers, understand their needs and provide solutions and technical feedback. Proven track record of building relationships with customers and fostering loyalty and trust. Strong project management and organisational skills with attention to detail. Fluency in written and spoken Portuguese. English language skills: minimum intermediate level; Spanish language skills are a bonus. Willingness and capability to travel up to 20% of the time throughout South America for work‑related assignments.
