We are looking for a highly motivated and results-focused Lifecycle Marketing Strategist to join our team. Overview In this role at Common Thread Collective (CTC), you will serve as a key strategic leader, helping guide our clients toward long-term, scalable growth. Your mission is to ensure predictable and consistent revenue through lifecycle marketing initiatives—leveraging data‑driven insights to create forecasts, shape strategic plans, and maintain reliable performance. You will cover the elements of CTC's strategic forecasting methods and the foundational principles of retention marketing. Your responsibilities extend far beyond email execution—you act as a trusted partner to our clients in all areas of customer lifecycle strategy, articulating the reasoning behind our recommendations and bridging the gap between forecasts and the email, SMS, direct mail, and other lifecycle touchpoints we deploy. You also serve as a dedicated champion of CTC’s distinctive lifecycle approach and the tools that power it. Key Responsibilities Drive the profitable growth of retention channels, including but not limited to email, SMS, direct mail, pop‑ups and push notifications; work within subscription, membership, loyalty programs and more where required. Write briefs and ensure the rest of the team can execute on them. Complete reports with a high degree of accuracy, checking against multiple data points. Analyse metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of retention efforts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement with Statlas and the Growth Map as your guide. Collaborate with design, content and other relevant teams to create compelling and engaging email content, ensuring brand consistency and messaging alignment. Ensure timely delivery of relevant deliverables (emails, SMS, etc.), including effective internal project management and client coordination. Stay updated with industry trends, new features, and best practices in retention marketing to continuously optimize performance. Consult clients and solve business problems beyond the email platform (client‑facing responsibility). Prioritize relational equity with your team and clients to foster lasting relationships for continued growth of CTC and our client businesses. Onboarding & Development Align with the team and contribute to the Brain Trust for Ideas across clients. Manage, align & work with pod members: Growth strategist, Meta/Google/Channel Media Buyer and Creative Strategist. Organise, prioritise and manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail. Maintain data integrity of clients across Statlas and other tracking tools. Execute the Prophit system, build an email forecast, set marketing calendar alignment, and drive monthly execution versus forecast. Apply CTC's Email and SMS best practices, leveraging memberships, subscriptions, loyalty programs, pop‑ups, quizzes, cart drawers, post‑purchase upsell tools, direct mail, etc., to impact retention metrics. Monitor active campaigns, deploying additional resources or updating strategy to hit projected targets. Implement tests to improve campaign performance. Ensure deliverables meet brand and technical standards, aligning with client forecasts & strategy, and maintaining high client satisfaction. Communicate with clients: daily performance updates, weekly Slack updates, alignment across strategy and forecast, and required reporting. Contribute learnings back to the system for continuous improvement and cross‑team ideas. Skills & Qualifications At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in email and SMS marketing, with proven execution across campaigns, automations, segmentation, and optimisation. At least 2 years of experience in retention marketing, owning initiatives that drive predictable revenue, customer lifetime value, and lifecycle improvements. Strong data‑analysis skills and familiarity with tools such as Google Sheets. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present ideas clearly to stakeholders. High emotional intelligence, strong presentation skills, and persuasive client messaging. Self‑driven learning, resourceful, and capable of iterating skills independently. Ownership mindset: consistently honest, accountable, and proactive without constant oversight. Resilience, problem‑solving mindset, and an appetite for tackling tough challenges. Experience with the Prophit system, forecasting, and strategy alignment. Experience with data‑driven forecasting (e.g., Growth Map, Statlas). What Success Looks Like Achieve certification and confidence in our ideology by the end of training, enabling precise execution of the Prophit system. Consistently deliver high‑accuracy retention performance, exceeding email/SMS platform expectations. Lead and collaborate with the team to optimise productivity and maintain high performance. Maintain client satisfaction levels above benchmark rates. Adhere to rigorous quality standards in forecasting, email production, and execution. Meet all deadlines and retention requirements, ensuring timely and on‑target performance. Contribute valuable ideas to team discussions and company‑wide content, supporting growth and innovation. Career Path + Compensation First 30 days : $1.5K (Part‑time transition phase) – notice at current job, daily training, shadowing and supporting ongoing accounts. Days 31‑60 : $3K (Full‑time start) – transition to full‑time, manage your first 3 client accounts independently. Days 61‑90 : $4‑5K + performance bonuses – continue growing your portfolio, earn bonuses based on revenue targets, negotiate term contract annually. Growth, Transparency & Fairness Progress is clearly defined and based on experience and quality of execution. Weekly performance dashboard provides objective and subjective metrics. Transparent pay terms and a clear roadmap for increased earnings. Ongoing mentorship, feedback, and promotion evaluation. Location & Environment Fully remote with flexible schedule.
