What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Provide complex and advanced program support to the Division of Animal Health
• Perform regulatory work in support of various animal health programs and disease control initiatives
• Research and process applications for approval or denial and manage long-term quarantines
• Monitor compliance with applicable statutes, rules, and regulations while serving as a technical expert
• Maintain extensive contact with patrons, industry representatives, and other government agencies regarding animal health regulations

What is Required (Qualifications)

• Experience utilizing computer database and software applications to track deadlines and draft correspondence
• Experience in accurately processing and maintaining program/business records in an electronic file management system
• Experience providing guidance or assistance to customers, staff, or the general public
• Experience interpreting rules, regulations, statutes, and administrative codes with regulatory authority
• Experience reviewing and processing applications for compliance with regulatory requirements

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience researching, reviewing, and analyzing information to support regulatory compliance
• Experience evaluating and making determinations regarding regulatory enforcement actions
• Experience interpreting statutes and disseminating that information to the public
• Experience as a program expert or technical contact providing information on program processes
