We look forward to hearing from you What We Do at M.Hudson Design We specialize in crafting landscape architecture experiences for high-end residential projects in South Florida, including multi-acre estate homes, waterfront estates, country club communities, and other upscale residences. Our services cover: Landscape planting plans and detailed hardscape plans (driveways, pools, pool decks, patios, walkways, retaining walls, decks, docks, fencing, and gates) Design of structural elements (columns, railings) to ensure functionality and aesthetics Advanced irrigation, lighting, and drainage plans 3D photo-realistic models, still images, and flythrough graphics Sample plan sets are available to view by request as part of the application process. Proprietary Design Process We have developed a comprehensive residential design process supported by LiDAR site inventories and advanced drafting and graphics software. Job Description As a Landscape Architecture Junior Drafting Professional, you will support the pre-design and preliminary design phases. In close collaboration with the Senior Drafting Professional and the design team, you will develop precise technical drawings and plans to establish a strong foundation for projects. Attention to detail and teamwork are essential to meet our high standards and vision. This position offers the potential for performance bonuses based on team success. Details will be provided during the interview process. There is room for growth within the company, including promotion to Senior Drafting Professional to manage a drafting team and larger projects. This role is hired as a freelance contractor, offering flexibility within a supportive, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Developing pre-design deliverables, including the Survey Base Sheet, Inventory Base Sheet, Proposed Base Sheet, and Inventory Proposed Base Sheet to support project initialization. Drafting schematic designs in collaboration with the design team using AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Drafting preliminary designs while ensuring feasibility, aesthetics, and alignment with client vision. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with local codes and regulations as directed by the design team. Collaborating with team members to refine designs and advance project goals. Updating drafts based on feedback and revisions to align with project standards. This role offers growth opportunities within a dynamic team working on high-end residential projects. Required Qualifications & Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Foundational understanding of landscape architecture principles, especially for residential design. Self-sufficiency and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Educational background in Landscape Architecture (undergraduate or graduate). Experience in residential landscape architecture, particularly high-end or luxury projects. Familiarity with Florida planting materials and regional considerations. Experience Requirements 1-3 years of experience drafting landscape plans in AutoCAD. Work Environment Remote work from a home office with a collaborative, communicative culture. We use Google Chat, email, and weekly Google Meet meetings to stay connected and aligned on goals.
