As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of Islands’ technical innovation, architecting and refining cloud infrastructure that supports our groundbreaking products—both client-facing and internal. You’ll help design and scale microservice-based architectures, work hands-on with AWS, and ensure our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are airtight. This is a flexible role, ideal for full-time or part-time candidates.

Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable, highly-available cloud infrastructure using AWS and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with developers to manage cloud resources for our core projects, including Frameflow, our cutting-edge AI-powered QA Engineer.
- Lead CI/CD pipeline development, ensuring continuous deployment with zero downtime.
- Oversee infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and other modern tools.
- Optimize for performance, security, and scale as our products expand to new markets.
- Experiment with the latest DevOps technologies to continually improve our infrastructure.
- 5+ years of DevOps experience with hands-on cloud architecture in AWS.
- Proficiency with microservices architectures and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and automation. You have built scalable IaaC in the past with Terraform or similar.
- Experience with version control (Git, Mercurial, or SVN), reverse proxies, microservices, gRPC, K8s, and Kubernetes architecture, Github Actions.
- Familiarity with our tech stack and experience as a developer in at least one of the following: React, Node.js, Typescript, and Python for Machine Learning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
