Senior Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description We are seeking a skilled security professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in security operations and be able to investigate and respond to security events. Key Responsibilities Investigate and respond to security events Analyze data movement and enforce classification standards Coordinate remediation efforts Work in dynamic environments and apply core SOC concepts Develop deeper expertise in protecting sensitive data Required Skills and Qualifications The ideal candidate will bring the following skills and qualifications: Foundational experience in security operations Demonstrated ability to investigate and respond to security events Strong focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Experience working with DLP technologies and processes Familiarity with common data classification categories Experience using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems Exposure to endpoint protection solutions Ability to analyze event logs and alerts Basic knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive data Highly organized and efficient with minimal supervision Preferred Skills The following skills are preferred but not required: Experience tuning or refining DLP policies and rules Familiarity with cloud security controls and data governance concepts Exposure to cybersecurity threat hunting techniques Basic scripting or automation knowledge Education/Certifications/Training Required A basic industry certification such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or GIAC is required. An Associates' or Bachelors' Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security Assurance, or equivalent experience is also required. ),
