**Key Accountabilities**:
- Create an environment where Business Acumen and Technical Knowledge come together to proactively identify and pursue value creating opportunities.
- Create or leverage an internal e-Learning platform that provides education/ knowledge building on emerging technologies, business strategies and operations, technical and soft skillsets to all Sylvamo employees for content that is currently not available or cost effective externally.
- Must reach all Sylvamo employees as well as external partners as needed.
- Provide customized/personalized content for individuals, groups, and/or large audiences.
- Provide a wide range of outreach capabilities such as remote, in classroom, pre-recorded etc.
- Provide self-directed learning paths to allow individuals and/or groups to have a self-paced learning environment to better utilize their available time.
- Be able to create content in a timely manner while being cost effective.
- Create a strategy for LinkedIn Learning and/or additional supplementary external e-learning content to be able to:
- Build Learning Paths based on IT & Business needs for Technical and Soft Skills.
- Supplement internally built content such as pre-requisite and/or supplemental courses.
- Explore additional opportunities to utilize and capitalize on externally built content.
- Develop framework to obtain external knowledge and distribute internally (Universities, Consulting Partners, etc.)
- Build awareness for IT and business resources of Disruptive Technologies, Digital Transformation/Innovation, Citizen Development etc.
- Develop processes and systems for the identification, evaluation and development of partnerships within and outside the organization that are potential sources of internal and external knowledge.
- Develop a mechanism for sharing above knowledge with decision makers and practitioners
- Build awareness with business resources on what is possible using emerging technologies as applied to business use cases.
- Implement Social Networking solutions that includes Microsoft 365 suite and/or other known tools.
- Help build, facilitate online business and IT cross-over communities.
- Innovation (Champions), Design Thinking, Disruptive Technologies, Agile, Citizen Development, etc.
- Build Framework for hosting communities
- Use Social networking capabilities to support the community
- Coach cross functional teams to maintain, market and drive communities in the future
- Innovation Forum:
- Build framework for remote and in house capabilities to host a innovation forum for all Sylvamo Employees.
- Determine Strategy for hosting innovation forum. (Timing, Content, Break Out Sessions)
- To allow internal and external speakers to share their knowledge with opportunity to engage with speakers.
**Additional Responsibilities**:
- Intentional strategic partnerships and open innovation relationships with 3rd parties (customers, vendors, consulting companies, universities, etc.)
- Work closely with IT peers across the enterprise to execute against the practice with respectful and collaborative discussion, challenging the status quo to create value for the company
- Educate and mentor other enterprise IT leaders and professionals at various levels with regard to emerging technologies, trends and potential value
- Create SMART metrics to measure progress, value creation and long term sustainability
- Displaying leadership for continuous quality and efficiency improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Challenges
- This role is newly created role that will continue to evolve over time. It is a highly collaborative role that requires both internal and external agility and relationship management. Additionally, this role will need to become well versed in business strategy beyond IT in order to ensure that the innovation and emerging technology opportunities are aligned with the strategic direction of our company and businesses.
- Must have exceptional communication, analytical, and influence skills as the position regularly and significantly provides information and opportunities to Sr. Manager and/or Director level IT and Business leaders.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Must be able to influence and get work done through others in order to accomplish goals/tasks.
- Need to work at a detail level and then rise above the detail in order to effectively communicate the business economics of an analysis.
- Be able to quickly adapt to rapidly changing market place, business and organizational conditions
- Balance the desire to implement new technologies without full consideration to the impact and costs on the technology environment and support structures at Sylvamo.
