Dow has a great opportunity as Geographic Communications Manager Brazil based in São Paulo (BRA).
What you would do in this role:
The Geographic Communications Manager role is responsible for developing and implementing integrated, multi-channel internal, external, and digital communications plans that protect, build, and drive Dow's reputation and brand with key stakeholder groups in a country or at a site; support business objectives and priorities and drive growth; drive competitive advantage through policy and political advocacy as well as issue resolution; foster relationships and build goodwill for Dow at community levels; and drive employee engagement and alignment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement targeted integrated communication plans supporting corporate business priorities as well as country/site-specific objectives aligned to Dow's ambitions with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.- Develop and update key messaging, speeches, and presentations.- Coordinates and prepares meetings, briefings, and communication sessions.- Organize stakeholder events.- Act as a member of certain crisis management and emergency response team, support third parties on site with their crisis management.- Manage local media relations outreach, prepares briefings, develops key messages and shapes talking points.- Manage media relations agency.- Responsible for the overall corporate social media strategy presence for the country, as well as the local corporate website.- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholder groups, community members and local influencers. Develops and implements stakeholder outreach programs and manages the communications flows.- Partner with the Business Communications Team in selected, strategic corporate-aligned priorities and projects, especially internal engagement and national media outreach.- Understand key policy themes and drive successful advocacy delivery.- Monitors and analyses political developments, coordinates Company's position and response.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, preferably- 6-10 years of professional experience.- Strong written communication and speaking skills; proficient in English writing and speaking, desirable Spanish.- Masterly of modern communications technologies; strong ability to write and edit various types of communication utilizing a variety of communications channels with mínimal supervision.- Crisis management skills and experience required.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.- Proactive and self-motivated to deliver at a high level of excellence with ever-increasing demands.- Knowledge and experience in managing internal or employee communication is valued (not exclusive).- Flexibility for some travel.
