Process Safety Lead

Implementation and ongoing management of process safety related systems within BWE operations.
- Manage a strong HAZOP program to ensure safety and compliance.
- Conduct regular risk analysis and suggest corrective actions needed to solve any gap in our processes.
- Collaborate with other teams leads to determine ways in which to improve processes for safety and productivity.
- Clearly define the process safety program requirements and work with activity owners to ensure the program requirements are achieved.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of barriers identified in all major event scenarios.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership in Process Safety policy, legislative developments and emerging best practice.
- Deliver process safety governance and assurance systems including audits, outcomes and action plans.
- Facilitate operational and major hazard risk assessments.
- Develop effective standards and procedures in Process Safety and oversee their implementation to assure that Personal Safety risks are mitigated to a level that is As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP), are in compliance with all statutory and corporate requirements and aligned with the industry best practices.
- Drive workforce process safety communications including incident trends, investigation findings, process safety bulletins, lessons learned, etc.
- Represent BWE at relevant industry forums and networking activities and disseminate learnings to workforce. Participate in incident investigations as required.
- Work closely with the Sustainability Manager, Operations Manager and Drilling Manager to ensure safety KPIs are achieved.
**Requirements**:
Education
- Bachelor's in Engineering or corelated areas
Experience
- Minimum 10 years as Process Safety Manager within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical related industries with extensive experience in operation, maintenance and inspection of Upstream and Downstream oil and gas processing facilities.
- High level technical knowledge in all aspects of Process Safety
- Expert knowledge of Hazard and Risk Analysis (e.g. HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL assessments, LOPA, area classification, dispersion analyses etc).
- Expert knowledge of CCPS/IOSH Process Safety standards, applicable industry codes, regulations and best practices is required.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to recognize trends, assess risks and identify root causes.
