Product Director - Cross-Border Payments Product Director – Crossborder Payments Cross-border payments are a strategic pillar for global financial inclusion and digital commerce. As the Director of Product for Cross-Border Payments, you will lead the development and execution of product strategies that enable seamless international transactions for consumers and businesses. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of remittances, B2B payments, and global e-commerce enablement in Brazil. You will work across functions—Product, Strategy, Compliance, Partnerships, Engineering, and Marketing—to deliver innovative, scalable, and compliant solutions. You will also engage with regulators, financial institutions, fintechs, and global merchants to drive adoption and market growth. Responsibilities Product Strategy & Planning Define and evolve the cross-border payments product vision and roadmap for Brazil, aligned with global strategy. Monitor regulatory developments, FX trends, and emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, digital wallets, DCC). Lead market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats. Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure regulatory alignment (e.g., BACEN, AML, KYC). Develop business cases for new product initiatives and enhancements. Execution & Go-to-Market Launch and scale cross-border payment products for pay-in and payout use cases. Build partnerships with banks, fintechs, PSPs, and global platforms (e.g., marketplaces, gig economy). Drive integration of APIs and data assets to enable real-time, low-cost, and secure transactions. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver product features, documentation, and training. Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory discussions. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience in payments, FX, or financial services, with at least 5 years in product leadership. Proven track record of launching and scaling payment products in Brazil or LATAM. Strong understanding of cross-border payment flows, FX settlement, and treasury operations. Experience working in matrixed organizations with global and regional teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for international payments in Brazil. Strong network within the payments ecosystem (banks, fintechs, regulators). Ability to anticipate market trends and translate them into actionable strategy. Multilingual (Portuguese and English required, Spanish is a plus). Visa is an EEO Employer.
