Position Summary The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability for Bloom Engineering by leveraging technical expertise, industry knowledge, and strong customer relationships. This role involves selling Bloom's products and services, developing innovative combustion solutions tailored to customer needs, and contributing to strategic planning, marketing, and product development initiatives. The Sales Engineer independently identifies opportunities in both existing and emerging markets, negotiates favorable terms, and serves as a trusted technical advisor to customers. This is a remote position targeting those residing in the state of Indiana or surrounding states. Sales territories include the Upper Midwest, West Coast, and Western Canada. Although a remote position, periodic trips to the Charleroi, PA headquarters will be required. Primary Responsibilities Develop and manage customer relationships to achieve revenue and profit goals. Identify and secure new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets. Develop and deliver technical sales presentations and proposals that meet customer needs and align with Bloom's established guidelines and pricing policies. Close sales in a professional and efficient manner. Negotiate customer terms and conditions to protect Bloom's business interests. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and met. Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to support strategy and product development. Manage assigned sales budgets and maintain accurate activity reports. Participate in the development of new products, modifications of existing products, and termination of ineffective products. Measurements of Accountability Achievement of order intakes versus objectives. Compliance with Bloom's policies, pricing and administrative requirements. Develops budget and executes to meet budget. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Strong technical knowledge in fluids, thermodynamics, and combustion, required. Minimum of 7 years of successful technical sales experience in a related industry. Prior technical experience with industrial equipment, preferred. Proven ability to sell complex industrial equipment solutions. Strong business acumen with understanding of markets, competitors, and financial principles. Ability to read and comprehend customer's terms and conditions. Skilled in negotiating contractual terms to mitigate business risk. Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills. Computer proficiency to meet position requirements. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including domestic and international. Most international travel will be to Canada and Mexico. Willingness to work in industrial environments with heat, noise, and dust. The salary range for this role is between $89,******-$126,******. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
