As a **Lead Math Game Designer**, you will be working at the heart of Kalamba's product team to create innovative, avant-garde casino games. The math is one of the core pieces that defines a player's experience in our games, and we use it to create the best possible experience for our players.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with Product Owners to define the mechanics of new casino games
- Develop mathematical specification of games, taking into account player psychology to create an enjoyable gaming experience
- Create analytical and simulated game math models to determine game return to player (RTP) and capture vital statistics about the game's volatility profile
- Communicate the functionality of the game mechanics and math to other members of the product and development team
- Collaborate with other design disciplines through the creation of the game, to ensure that all elements of the design are in harmony
- Work with game server development team to implement and deploy the game math to production
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computational Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years working experience in game design
- Strong knowledge of applied probability and statistics
- Strong programming skills (Java preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work autonomously as well as a part of a team
- Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates learning agility
**Nice to have**:
- 3+ years experience in game design, or 2+ years in casino games
- Experience working with end users, understanding consumer psychology, or creating designs for end-user-facing products
- 2+ years working experience in software development
- Experience or ability to identify the most critical KPIs to product performance, and incorporate them into future actions
