Senior Software Expert

As a software expert, you will lead the architecture design and implementation of critical systems with high impact at a fast-growing startup in LATAM.

You will drive technical strategy, set engineering standards for scalability, performance, security, and reliability.

Cross-functionally collaborate with product design and business to influence product direction.

Manage senior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and informal coaching.

Delve deep into the code, especially in high-stakes systems, think distributed systems, high-throughput APIs, low-latency pipelines.

Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies that can create meaningful leverage.

Participate in brainstorming with the executive team on new initiatives from a software perspective.

Requires 10+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 2+ years in a principal role.

Expertise in distributed systems, data platforms, backend APIs, cloud infrastructure.

Strong architectural skills and a pragmatic approach to design tradeoffs.

Results include reduced errors and downtime, improved system performance and reliability.
