Overview

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role at Biogen. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will be a pivotal member of the Medical Affairs team, responsible for engaging with Key Medical Experts (KMEs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and other stakeholders. You will provide unbiased scientific information that supports Biogen’s clinical and medical strategies, tailor discussions to meet collaborator needs, and capture insights to shape clinical strategies while complying with industry guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Establish yourself as a trusted partner to KMEs and HCPs, delivering credible medical and scientific information.
  • Engage proactively with customers, addressing their needs and pivoting conversations to relevant topics.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships, developing scientific advocates within the medical community.
  • Capture and report high-value medical insights to inform Biogen’s clinical strategies using Veeva.
  • Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional teams, particularly with the Commercial organization.
  • Lead complex educational activities that enhance Biogen’s reputation as a valued partner.
  • Stay updated on therapy advances and current research related to Biogen’s products and disease areas.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of disease areas and competitive environments to contribute to brand planning.
  • Navigate industry compliance guardrails to empower interactions with stakeholders.
  • Travel extensively to engage with customers and deliver impactful scientific exchanges.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree (Master's required; PharmD or PhD preferred).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Science Liaison.
  • Proficiency in English; advanced (fluent preferred).
  • Ability to travel at least 60% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in neuroscience or related fields.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Location

Based in northeast Brazil; preferable Fortaleza or Recife.
