We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This is a full-time position located at 132 Kerr Street, Belvedere, South Carolina 29841.
OverviewResponsibilities include assisting with store functions and day-to-day activities, supporting customers, and helping manage merchandise, staff, and store standards.
Responsibilities- Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
- Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
- Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas
- Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
- Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
- Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
- Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts), and loss prevention
- Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
- Protect and secure store assets, including store cash
- Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure store associates follow policies
- Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
- Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
- Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills
