Senior Tax Professional Job Description

The Senior Tax Professional is responsible for the management of direct and indirect taxes, tax compliance and tax planning. This includes ensuring compliance with current legislation and optimizing the company's tax position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage direct and indirect taxes to ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of all tax returns (PIS/COFINS, ICMS, ISS, IRPJ/CSLL, etc).
  • Monitor tax compliance processes and work closely with internal accounting and finance teams to ensure tax obligations are met.
  • Manage and respond to federal, state, and municipal tax audits, including coordinating documentation and liaising with auditors and tax authorities.
  • Analyze changes in Brazilian tax legislation and assess potential business impacts, providing recommendations for compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law. Advanced degree or CPA certification preferred.
  • Solid experience in direct and indirect taxes, tax compliance and tax planning;
  • Knowledge in Transfer Pricing and attendance to external audits;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with different stakeholders;

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in Portuguese (native proficiency).
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken) – must liaise with global teams.
