DevOps Architect, Trilogy (Remote) – $100,000/year USD Join Crossover as a DevOps Architect (Remote) where you’ll design and deploy scalable AWS infrastructure across a portfolio of acquired products, driving automation, monitoring, and performance optimization. We’re seeking a DevOps engineer who views infrastructure challenges as opportunities to build resilient systems, rather than routine maintenance. You’ll dissect legacy environments, construct Kubernetes‑based workloads, and automate operations to reduce manual toil. Responsibilities: Architect and execute sophisticated infrastructure transformations, including legacy platform transitions to AWS and lift‑and‑shift migrations. Create and deploy comprehensive monitoring and automation systems for software releases and operational processes. Conduct system surveillance, backup operations, incident management, database migrations, tuning, and cost‑reduction initiatives. What you won’t be doing: Spending time in Jira and status meetings; we prioritize solution delivery. Maintaining legacy systems without end; you’ll implement substantial improvements. Waiting on bureaucratic approvals; you’ll deploy immediate remediation when incidents occur. Working within restrictive technical boundaries; this role demands comprehensive knowledge and specialized expertise. Justifying budgets for essential infrastructure upgrades; we recognize the strategic value of these investments. Key responsibilities include driving reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our product portfolio through robust monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices. Basic Requirements: Deep AWS infrastructure expertise (primary platform). Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript for automation. Experience managing and migrating production databases across multiple engines (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, MS‑SQL). Advanced Docker and Kubernetes skills. Experience with infrastructure automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Linux systems administration expertise.
