Data Protection Analyst in Barueri, São Paulo, BrazilWhat the Role Involves The Data Protection Analyst will be a valued collaborator across Legal, IT, and Information Security functions, supporting global data privacy and cybersecurity standards including LGPD, CPRA, GLBA, and NYDFS Reg 500. This person will engage with teams across regions and disciplines to help embed legal requirements into everyday practices through project support, training, and thoughtful documentation.Key Responsibilities Include:
Support business and IT projects by reviewing proposed data use, identifying privacy and cybersecurity requirements, assisting with Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and helping resolve identified risks. Partner with Legal, IT, and Compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are considered early in project planning—helping prevent costly rework, missed deadlines, and scope changes. Support vendor oversight by maintaining an inventory of required privacy and security terms in standard contracts, tracking approved deviations, and identifying which vendors process personal data (PII). Coordinate with Legal to flag gaps and support ongoing vendor risk management. Triage and respond to incoming questions about data privacy and security;
maintain clear documentation of actions and decisions. Monitor and assess digital tracking practices (e.G., website cookies) for compliance with global requirements. Support privacy governance tools (e.G., BigID, OneTrust) by helping ensure legal requirements are reflected in data inventories, records of processing, and risk documentation. Support responses to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and related compliance reporting. Help develop and deliver internal training to promote awareness and understanding of data privacy and legal requirements related to cybersecurity. Follow all legal and compliance policies and report any potential issues or breaches.What We're Looking ForA Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year institution. 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in privacy, data governance, or security roles. Working knowledge of regulations such as LGPD, CPRA, and NYDFS Reg 500. Familiarity with tools like OneTrust or BigID is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between legal, business, and technical teams. Organized and detail-oriented;
able to manage deadlines and work with cross-functional teams. CIPP certification is a plus. Fluency in English is required;
fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is strongly preferred.Ready to Apply?
