Role: Datadog Engineer - SRE

Contract Duration: 1 year (possible extension)


Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Datadog Engineer . This is an excellent opportunity to work on international projects, leading monitoring initiatives and driving best practices in observability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end monitoring projects, collaborating with application teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve monitoring gaps and performance issues.
  • Standardize tagging and continuously improve monitoring processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Implement SNMP for network infrastructure monitoring integrations (e.g., SolarWinds).
  • Integrate Datadog with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) for incident handling and tracking.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Datadog configurations and processes.
  • Train and mentor team members on Datadog best practices.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Datadog Certification
  • Certified in Datadog, demonstrating formal expertise.
  • Hands-On Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years actively working with Datadog, with deep familiarity across its ecosystem.
  • Technical Expertise
  • Advanced knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and Log Ingestion.
  • Proficient in Terraform, Python, and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong background in incident management
  • Familiarity with cost optimization strategies.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
