- Are you an experienced Enterprise Architect who enjoys tackling complex challenges? Are you looking for an opportunity to work closely with business and technology stakeholders in an interesting and growing environment? Do you have a passion for driving best in class engineering practices?
We're looking for a Chief Technology Officer who can help us:
- translate business vision and strategy to technology landscape with a strategic focus and drive
- work with business and technology stakeholders to elicit, agree, document, and communicate target-state architectures
- develop technology architecture standards in conjunction with the Group CTO and promote their adoption.
- work closely with engineering teams to monitor, review and sign-off on designs to ensure alignment with standards and roadmaps
- stay abreast of industry trends to drive continuous improvement in architecture
- set up the gold standard for engineering practices and build an engineering community to share idea, best practices, and tools
- drive the architecture from its current state to the target state, and drive adoption of UBS Group architecture standards, by:
- reviewing alignment to business and technology strategies and target states during the firm's strategic planning process and funding reviews
- reviewing and approving significant technology investments
- monitoring adherence to UBS group architecture standards and promoting the adoption and adherence to group-wide Infrastructure Technology Standards and group-wide Security Technology Standards
- promoting the adherence to Minimum Enterprise Requirements through the lifecycle management process

- You will be an important member of the Management Forum for Latin America & Canada Technology. This organization comprises engineering teams supporting Wealth Management, Investment Banking, and Group Functions systems in the Americas region outside of the United States. Covering Canada, Mexico, and Bahamas with a large focus on Brazil, you will be exposed to a wide range of business and technology teams.
You will be working in the Group Technology team in Sao Paulo at Ave Faria Lima, based in Brazil. We work in the hybrid model.
**Your expertise**
- You have:
- strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and methodologies
- extensive experience leading and driving consensus on architectural decisions and managing delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines, priorities, and complexities
- a university degree or equivalent with a financial or technical background or equivalent certification
- strong problem-solving skills (being able to adapt and find innovative solutions to challenges)
- a proactive and independent work style, good organizational and time-management skills
- passion for technology and delivery
- drive and commitment to high quality on-time delivery and flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments
You are:
- excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- known for a can-do approach when tackling difficult tasks
- have a willingness to learn and challenge yourself in new areas of knowledge
- fluent in Portuguese and English
