Nowadays, we're on the hunt for a dynamic Junior Accountant
**Position Overview**:
As a **Junior Accountant**, you'll play a key role in keeping our financials in check across all group entities. From maintaining ledgers and posting journal entries to reconciling accounts and supporting month-end processes, you'll ensure that every transaction is recorded accurately. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams, assist with audits, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency. **Responsibilities**:
- Maintain the financial and general ledgers of all group entities, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and accounts analysis, and ensure that all business transactions are recorded.
- Assist in the day-to-day accounting tasks and support the senior accountant and other accounting staff with any other assignments as instructed by management from time to time.
- Actively participate in the month-end process making sure that all the required tasks are collectively delivered by the stipulated deadline.
- Establish strong communication with internal departments to ensure that the information required for accountancy purposes is correctly recorded and maintained up to date.
- Perform period-end reconciliations of various accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and income statement checks for all group entities.
- Assist with Identifying, planning and implementing key projects to improve quality, reduce costs, increase productivity and improve cycle time by reducing wasted time, rework, etc.
- Assist the team with the statutory audit, preparation of financial statements and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
- Approve and post supplier invoices whilst ensuring that they are accurately assigned the correct ledger account and reporting dimensions in line with the applicable accounting requirements and that the invoices' authorisation procedure is duly followed.
**Requirements**:
- Early stages of ACCA or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Be highly organised, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative.
