Role Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced Business Systems Administrator who will serve as the primary owner and subject-matter expert for our ERP system. This individual will be fully responsible for the configuration, accuracy, day-to-day operation, and optimization of Epicor P21 across sales, inventory, purchasing, and reporting, with additional support for light accounting and bookkeeping functions. EXPERIENCE WITH EPICOR PROPHET 21 IS A MUST. This role requires deep, hands-on P21 expertise in a wholesale or distribution environment and the ability to operate independently with minimal oversight. Location: Remote Role: Full-Time Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST Rate: $8/hour Core Responsibilities: Epicor P21 Ownership (Primary Responsibility) • Act as the system owner and P21 subject-matter expert • Configure, maintain, and optimize Epicor P21 to support business operations • Own end-to-end workflows including: • Quotes, sales orders, invoicing, credits • Purchasing, receiving, and vendor management • Inventory management across one or more warehouses • Manage customer pricing structures, contracts, and margin controls • Monitor system accuracy, data integrity, and performance • Identify and resolve system issues, errors, and inefficiencies • Serve as the main point of contact with Epicor support and external consultants • Create and maintain SOPs and internal documentation for P21 processes Inventory, Sales & Purchasing Operations • Ensure accurate inventory levels, replenishment, and demand planning • Oversee backorders, partial shipments, and fulfillment workflows • Support sales and operations teams with system guidance and reporting • Track KPIs including sales, margins, inventory turns, and order accuracy Reporting & Data Management • Build and maintain standard and custom P21 reports • Deliver recurring and ad-hoc reports for leadership • Ensure reporting accuracy for operational and financial decision-making Light Accounting & Bookkeeping Support • Support AR and AP workflows within P21 • Assist with invoicing, payment tracking, and PO-to-invoice matching • Perform basic reconciliations and data reviews • Support month-end close preparation and coordination with accountants Required Qualifications • Advanced, hands-on experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) • Proven experience acting as a P21 administrator or system owner • Strong background in wholesale / distribution operations • Deep understanding of: • Inventory management and purchasing workflows • Complex pricing structures and margin controls • ERP-driven order-to-cash processes • Experience supporting accounting functions (AR/AP, invoicing, reconciliations) • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of systems • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy Preferred / Nice to Have • Experience with multi-warehouse or high-SKU environments • ERP implementation, migration, or optimization experience • Familiarity with U.S. accounting processes • Experience training users on Epicor P21 What Success Looks Like • Epicor P21 operates accurately and efficiently with minimal rs • Inventory, sales, and purchasing data are consistently reliable • Leadership has clear, timely reporting for decision-making • The business relies on this role as the go-to expert for P21
