Your Impact
  • The Regional Category Specialist manages sourcing and procurement activities for specific Indirect Material categories within AGCO's South American region. Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, qualifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings and process improvements. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and establishing strong stakeholder relationships to ensure effective execution of category priorities.
  • Initiate and manage complex sourcing projects for categories like MRO, facilities, Capex, and Utilities.
  • Work with senior managers, the Global Category Manager, and Category Buyers to define strategies and initiate sourcing projects.
  • Align procurement strategies with business goals to identify sourcing opportunities and improve main categories.
  • Utilize Indirect Procurement tools such as Sourcing Pipeline, e-Sourcing, and reporting tools to monitor spend, create updates, and develop business cases.
  • Manage negotiations and regional tenders (RFP, RFQ, RFI).
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to align with business strategies.
Your Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Senior experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement, preferably in indirect procurement.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Excellent MS Excel skills and IT literacy.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze spend data, conduct market research, and find cost-saving opportunities.
  • Negotiation and communication skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Project management skills to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and regionally, collaborating across departments.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
