**WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH**
You'll work with Creative Services, part of the Bain's global Operations organization that specializes in providing high-quality presentation design services to support our consulting teams and practices. Our designers seamlessly integrate design expertise, storytelling techniques, and data visualization skills to create presentations that deliver insights with clarity and impact.
**WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM**
**As a **Design Manager**, you will manage a team of presentation designers, using your leadership expertise and client service background to ensure designers are delivering design requests in accordance with the client's requirements and agreed-upon deadlines. Approximately 65% of your time will be dedicated to client-facing design work, while 35% will focus on people management.
You will be responsible for fostering the professional growth of your team, providing guidance and direction to help them understand and deliver on the client's requirements. Your leadership and management skills will be critical in building a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous learning.
In this role, you will allocate a portion of your time to leading design projects**for clients. You will work closely with client teams and business partners, using your design expertise and insights to develop high-quality design solutions that effectively communicate the client's message and objectives.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Manage and mentor a team of presentation designers to deliver design solutions for Bain client teams and business partners, advise team and stakeholders on project work, and effectively explain strategic design implications
- Track team performance, including adherence to Creative Services KPIs, service levels, and Bain Operating Principles. Independently analyze information to distill key insights and make recommendations for improvement
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of your own work and your team's work, supporting the team on prioritized tasks and effectively meeting evolving business objectives
- Act as a design and project lead on enhanced client experience projects and oversee the work of designers on the team to ensure project objectives are met
- Serve as a thought partner for client teams and business partners to transform insights and ideas into clear, engaging, world-class visual communications
- Encourage effective team collaboration to achieve team priorities by continuously sharing learnings and best practices with all team members; add value to the department by acting as advisor for important issues and initiatives
- Coach and guide individual performance and growth through timely feedback, project debriefs, and regular professional development check-ins; demonstrate role model behavior that promotes wellbeing in others, sharing knowledge and expertise across team members
**ABOUT YOU**
- You have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, preferably rooted in graphic design and/or communications
- You have strong leadership and experience managing designers
- You have professional fluency in written and spoken English
- You have excellent written and verbal communications skills
- You have expert proficiency in **Microsoft Office** and **Adobe Creative Suite**
**NICE TO HAVE**
- Experience working in a consulting or fast-paced client service environment
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices
- Speak Spanish or German
