Direct Tax Brazil Manager

**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Lead a team of about 6 direct reports
- Manage and review direct tax compliance including tax returns and business licenses
- Performs research and planning for direct tax topics
- Manage Brazil direct tax audits in collaboration with LATAM and global direct tax leadership, and lead the identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities and industry best practices arising from the Brazil direct tax compliance and audit processes
- Implements satisfactory controls and implements and maintains tax determination in the ERP
- Monitors tax legislation and maintains accurate indirect tax rates throughout all transactions
- Collaborate with the Brazil Indirect Manager and business partners on Brazil specific initiatives. Execute on tax planning, divestiture or post-acquisition integration work impacting the country
- Follow local country legislative developments and assess its impact to NCHC, execute on tax law changes
- Manage and support direct tax technology initiatives, partnering with the Tax Technology and IT teams on the assessment of the current state technology landscape, digital tax administration, design of future state and prioritization of technology investments for indirect tax processes
- Work with tax technology and IT teams on direct tax user requirements on OneS4 implementation
- Demonstrate ability to balance and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Provide ad hoc tax support in broader Business Development areas for NCHC and the related NCHC platforms and/or Enterprise projects
**Qualifications** Qualifications - Required**:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting or related business
- Experience managing co-source providers and external advisors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools and have an intermediate to advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong analytical abilities (data, fact patterns, external tax/legal frameworks) and accounting
- The ability to anticipate changing requirements and effectively plan across the enterprise landscape
- Individuals must work well in a team environment; be able to recommend and implement process improvements and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Fluency in English
**Qualifications - Preferred**:
- Fluency in Spanish
- Advanced degree or professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant
- Experience in international tax with a US-headquartered multinational company
