**Responsibilities**:**Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon)** is seeking an Intern within our ALI Americas group. This position is based in**Brazil.**The Data Analyst will support the Regional Operations team to produce data-driven insights, by helping with the ingestion and cleanup of data from multiple sources, and establishing and tracking KPIs to track the progress and success of the sales strategy, while providing visibility to the sales leadership team to monitor the execution and make necessary adjustments. The individual is expected to be a technical resource well versed in utilizing various tools and techniques for analyzing data. This person will work with a technical and business resources team to enforce good MDM practices.- Participate in meetings with different teams to understand requirements, identify suitable data sources, clean data, create dashboards for visualization and automate data analysis.- Profile new data for quality assurance purposes- Perform preliminary analysis and cleanup of master data before handing over to the business for further review and cleanup.- Analyze data in existing systems to identify quality and completeness issues and aid with cleanup.- Identify duplicate Account and Contact data across systems and within systems.- Transform data into the required format for ingestion into various systems- Perform ETL operations on new (M&A) or existing data sources- Develops, designs, and optimizes complex SQL/T-SQL queries in data analysis and transformation- Perform analysis on data from 3rd party providers that will ultimately be used for data enrichment- Understand business definitions, rules, and processes around master data in order to establish data analysis processes that ensure meaningful data.- Provide support to the MDM Architect on other data-related activities as needed.- Contribute to the data catalog- Communicate status updates and open issues to both technical and business resources in a manner that can be clearly understood.Qualifications:- Experience with data profiling/quality tools- Experience in moving/transforming data using an ETL tool- Experience with Microsoft PowerBI- Experience in analyzing and ingesting data from CSV and other delimited file formats- Experience working with large datasets- Experience working directly with key business stakeholders- Experience in collaboration and communication with both technical and business resources- Experience learning and documenting business definitions, rules, and processes- Ability to take initiative and work under limited supervision- Experience with Python and SQL**Preferred**:- English and Spanish proficiency Preferred- Experience with XML and JSON is a plus.- Experience with Web APIs is a plus- Experience working with data modeling is preferred.- Exposure to Data Governance key concepts like Metadata Management, Business Glossary, Cataloging, Lineage etc. is preferred.- Experience with a Metadata Management platform is preferred.- Experience in executing projects in an Agile environment is preferred.- Experience with Salesforce is preferred, but not mandatory.
