Supports the business with a special focus on growth through innovation by detecting new business opportunities. Compiles and maintains product/ technology/ competence roadmaps (innovation roadmaps). There may be a special focus on digitalization, transferring ideas into new offerings with a clear focus on future growth, portfolio extensions and customer value. Works in cross functional teams to overcome silo thinking, leveraging internal and/or external networks and ecosystems. Has a solid background with early customer validation in rapid learn-build-test cycles with focus on achieving customer value. Executes trend scouting, searches and evaluates “white space innovation ideas” regarding future business potential. Works ideation based on opportunities of digitalization (e.g., digitally enhanced products enabling cloud based Integrated Operations & Services, data analytics for preventive maintenance offerings, digital twin & simulation approaches to increase R&D efficiency) to fully exploit the potential of digitalization business. Collaborates in co-creation with sales, R&D, Product Management and customers with focus on customer experience / journey and the development of sales channel approaches. Responsibilities Maintains technical expertise on all new digitalization products, tools, and systems. Thinks and acts in ecosystems.
