Responsible for overseas communications that includes anticipation of needs in overnight correspondenceCoordinates between warehouses, truckers and suppliers to assure smooth operations and shipments implementationArranges trucking and intermodal movements and executes bookingCompletes cargo assessment to determine the best possible method route to implement in cargo movementAct as a single point of contact for a specific projectFollows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates Familiar with shipping cargo categorized as Dangerous Goods as LCL and FCLAccurate, efficient preparation of all required paperwork for delay-free forwardingManage suppliers, sub-contractors and third-party cargo handlersResponsive and comprehensive customer service via phone and emailInforms customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customerPrepares shipping documents such as, but not limited to export Bill of Lading (MBL, HBL), commercial invoices, certificate of originFinal billing to customer issuance. Preferable if familiarized with basics notions of taxes applicable while invoicingDevelopment and maintenance of strong long-term customer and vendor relationshipsConsistent excellence in reliability, professionalism and teamworkMaintaining current knowledge of seasonal, political or other factors that could cause delayRecords or files copy of orders receivedOther duties may be assignedKnowledge, skills and expertise:
Successfully completed training in the field of freight forwarding, as well as work experience in the freight forwarding industryProven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination and managementKnowledge of preparing ocean export consolidations involving multiple shippers and pickup locationsFamiliar with transporting OOG (out of gauge) cargo both over the road and via ocean and also INCOTERMS 2020Familiarization with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and ExcelDG certification for ocean would be a plusGood organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detailAbility to work independently with little supervisionExcellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural)Fluent English skills, both written and verbalWhat makes us the ideal choice?A family-owned company established in 1924, has evolved into a leading global specialist in project freight forwarding.
