Our opportunity
The role of People Partner Manager partners with senior leaders in their geography creating People Strategies and Plans that drive business goals. The role is characterized by variety as each country has its own differences and needs.
Consistently drive and deliver high quality and integrated People Partnering within a country/group of countries to ensure great employee experience for office-based colleagues, site-based colleagues, and third-party workers.
ECSA People Partner Manager will cover Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. People Advisors under CAC region are also part of the scope of this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Provide leadership to the FLPO People Partners and People Advisors team in the country/group of countries, creating and maintaining an environment where employees are highly engaged, proud of their work and have a strong sense of purpose.
- Coach and develop your own team to ensure consistently high quality delivery within your geography. Uphold the Maersk brand and values and business knowledge within the FLPO team.
- Build a flexible, adaptable team that can be effectively deployed to support new launches, new customer implementations and expansions of sites.
- Create an environment where employees are highly engaged, proud of their work and have a strong sense of purpose.
Stakeholder Management
- Ensure key stakeholder engagement and a high degree of satisfaction in the region.
- Represent the people elements in commercial plans supporting new business wins and ensuring we drive the employee experience.
- Know and understand the business to proactively assess on people matters.
- Partner business leaders ensuring a good balance of challenge and support to ensure robust people plans delivering the best employee experience in our sites.
- Provide visibility in key matters and escalate timely.
- Own action plans and deliver results providing valuable support to the business.
- Lead business growth from PF perspective.
- Agility to solve and/or look for the solution of complex problems. Lead the delivery of people solutions and processes, and all people related topics in the respective area.
Operational Focus:
- Ensure a strong, positive employee and labour relations climate in your countries working with local ER experts.
- Own the delivery of all employee lifecycle processes ensuring outcomes are delivered for frontline employees in a customer focused way.
- Contribute to local and Global projects ensuring the ‘voice’ of operations is heard and understood.
- Ensure best practice sharing within the LAM Region and with global peers to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of delivery as well as the employee experience.
Strategic Planning
- Implement the people strategy within the region in alignment with People Business Partners and in close collaboration with respective Heads of Delivery and Employee relations in the country/group of countries.

- Continually review teams’ capabilities and resource levels in line with business demand and as the new operating model and technology adoption mature.
- Co-create the people strategy and plan for each country and lead your team to deliver this in support of the business goals.

- HR generalist at a senior level with international experience in roles in contract logistics or manufacturing with complexity and scope, and solid understanding of HR fundamentals.
- Leadership experience: be a natural leader and passionate about driving team engagement to create a high performing team.
- Strong business partner challenging and supporting senior leaders to deliver on business results.
- Experienced dealing directly with customers senior teams and HR leaders.
- Experience in leading change, managing transformations and organization building.
- Experienced in leading employee relations and labour relations and working with Work Councils, Unions and within CLA’s.
- Ability to proactively drive the people agenda navigating a complex stakeholder matrix.
- Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, developing project environment, taking ownership and setting direction with minimal guidance.
- Resilience: the change process, is anything but straightforward; accepting uncertainty and bouncing back from setbacks while keeping your enthusiasm is a tall order, but we need it.
- Be self-driven, energetic, and have a ‘can-do’ mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Spanish highly desirable considering that the position covers Uruguay and Argentina for FLPO, and PAs from CAC.
- Base location: Sao Paulo.
