Our team in Brazil is growing, and we are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in Belo Horizonte - MG.

About the role:

  • Lead and develop conceptual and basic engineering projects, working collaboratively to ensure and maintain the flow of essential information with peer departments.
  • Seek technical solutions for engineering development and the application of new tools and technologies.
  • Develop strategic studies requiring agility in evaluating alternatives, including mines, plants, railways, and ports.
  • Act as a liaison between the engineering team, consultants, and international specialists to validate and/or critique technical solutions aimed at risk mitigation, safety, CapEx reduction, and project timelines.
  • Review projects and technical documentation to ensure quality and compliance with deadlines.
  • Monitor and work alongside project implementation areas, capturing lessons learned to optimize future projects.

About you:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and team management skills.
  • Experience in large-scale industrial projects development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of processes and technologies in iron, gold, and copper mining projects.
  • Experience with construction, assembly, and service contracting.
  • Proficiency in software and equipment sizing for bulk material handling, transportation, and heavy boilerwork calculations.
  • Strong communication skills and articulate demeanor.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
